Electrical Trainer – Hazardous Areas, Instrumentation & High Voltage
PMV Training is expanding nationally, and we are seeking passionate Trainers and Assessors to deliver industry-leading training across High Voltage (HV), Hazardous Areas (EEHA), and Instrumentation. With training centres in Perth, Karratha, Adelaide and remote training centres in other states, plus international delivery opportunities, this role offers flexibility for local and overseas applicants. Many of our trainers opt to travel in blocks to deliver training.
We are currently advertising for a full time role, however we are open both part-time and contracted opportunities. If you are a FIFO employee, perhaps you are able to train on your off swing? We are incredibly flexible.
The Role
As a Trainer and Assessor, you will:
- Deliver engaging training using PMV’s structured learning resources.
- Support learners through both theory (via our LMS) and practical, hands-on training.
- Conduct workplace-simulated assessments aligned to industry standards.
- Provide constructive feedback to develop technical ability, confidence, and employability.
- Represent PMV professionally while delivering training both domestically and abroad.
Training Areas
(Candidates should hold expertise in at least one; ability to cover multiple areas highly regarded):
- High Voltage Switching & Operations
- Hazardous Areas (EEHA) – Classification, Installation, Inspection & Maintenance
- Electrical Instrumentation (Cert III & IV)

About You
We are looking for trainers who bring:
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122), or willingness to obtain.
- Strong technical background in HV, EEHA, and/or Instrumentation.
- Previous training experience (preferred) OR the motivation to transition into a training career.
- A clear, engaging communication style that connects with adult learners.
- Adaptability to tailor learning materials while ensuring compliance.
- Competence with online systems and technology.
- Flexibility to travel across Australia and/or internationally for block delivery.
