NTA is seeking a casual part-time Trainer and Assessor to deliver and assess the CHC52025 and CHC52021 Diplomas of Community Services, and the CHC62015 Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management, across face-to-face, online and workplace settings. The role involves course design, assessment marking, industry consultation, student support, governance participation, record maintenance and representing NTA during regulatory audits. Applicants must hold relevant community services qualifications, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, at least three years of industry and teaching experience, and the required checks, with desirable attributes including higher-level qualifications, strong industry connections and experience in assessment validation. Interested candidates must submit a cover letter and resume, with successful applicants required to hold or obtain current police and Working with Children checks, and will have access to ongoing professional development and potential progression into Program Coordinator roles.

NTA is committed to creating a Centre of Excellence in Community Services Training. We are now seeking for an experienced person to deliver the following Programs:

  • CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services
  • CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services
  • CHC62015 Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management (currently being added to scope)

This role is Casual part-time.

Position Description:

The Trainer and Assessor will train and assess the following qualifications:

CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services

CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services

CHC62015 Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management (currently being added to scope)

  • Deliver high quality and compliant training and assessment in a wide variety of settings-face to face, Online and workplace training
  • Participate in Design of course including but not limited to Course Plan, Unit outlines, Assessment mapping, Session plans, Validation process and networking within the industry
  • Participate in industry consultation to ensure contemporary industry practices are adequately captured in the course
  • Assessment management- Assess students in a wide range of settings-class room, simulated environment, work placements and others
  • Marking of assessments in line with the requirements
  • Provide appropriate student support to maximise course completion
  • Support the Program coordinator to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of Program.
  • Participate in Course Governance- Committees, Process development etc.
  • Maintain all student records and case notes in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain currency of skills and experience through participation in professional development activities on a regular basis both in VET and nursing.
  • Represent NTA in regulatory audits (ASQA, Community Services Australia and others)

Key Requirements:

Essential:

  • Relevant qualifications- Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Community Services, Social welfare, Human Services.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience in community work, social welfare, human services, social work
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or earlier versions
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in teaching Diploma of Community Services or Advance Diploma in Community Services.
  • Have relevant checks- Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or Work rights, Driver's License, WWC check, Police check

Desirable:

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in Community Services, Social welfare, Human Services.
  • Strong industry connections- Experience in managing industry placements including assessments will be desirable.
  • Have an updated currency matrix and an updated PD Plan
  • Experience in undertake assessment validations
