The Institute of Training and Further Education ( iTFE) is looking for an experienced, reliable and dynamic trainer and assessor to deliver training and assessment services to trainees in and around the Brisbane area in a casual role.

Successful candidates will be:

  • Facilitating dynamic training through workshops, workplace visits and study support sessions across all areas of Brisbane.
  • Providing educational support, coaching and specialist assistance to enhance student's learning.
  • Managing the learning process, including student engagement, course progression and adherence to Training Plans.
  • Develop training and assessment session plans.
  • Marking and administrative tasks associated with training delivery and assessment.
  • Participating in moderation and validation activities as required.
  • Maintaining industry and VET currency.

Essential criteria:

  • VET training and assessing experience in Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care with OHSC experience highly preferred for right candidate
  • Minimum of 3+ years of VET training and assessment experience is required
  • Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed
  • Diploma ECEC qualification or equivalent vocational competencies required
  • Relevant and current industry experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years of current industry experience in Early Childhood Education is required
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent/above competencies
  • Located in/close to or willing to travel to Brisbane areas
  • Enjoy working with a diverse cohort of students
  • A flexible approach to training and assessing
  • Able to develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • Time-management and digital literacy skills
  • Student completion focus
  • Current drivers licence and own reliable transport
  • Current Working With Children Check (essential)
  • Participate in trainer and assessor moderation and validation activities where required
  • Undertake ongoing professional development activities
  • Must be willing to have a National Criminal History Check completed by IntoWork HR Department prior to commencement.

  • Digital literacy including delivery via MS Team/Zoom where needed.

  • Record keeping via the Student Management System.
