### Job Summary Building Industry Training Pty Ltd (RTO #40785) is seeking an Industry and Student Support Officer to support trainers, students, employers and business development teams across Queensland and NSW. The role focuses on coordinating trainer and student engagement, maintaining compliance and reporting requirements, supporting trainer and assessor documentation, managing site visits and logistics, preparing reports and submissions, and building strong stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate is highly organised, detail-oriented and self-motivated, with strong communication, reporting and coordination skills; prior RTO experience is preferred but not essential. Based primarily on the Gold Coast with regular travel to Brisbane, Rockhampton and other locations, the position offers an attractive salary package including superannuation and an opportunity to contribute to quality and compliance outcomes within a growing RTO.

Building Industry Training (BIT) is seeking an Industry and Student Support Officer to help our trainers and business development teams across our nationally recognised training operations.

As an Industry and Student Support Officer (ISSO), you will play a pivotal role in driving trainer efficiency and effectiveness within our RTO. Your main responsibilities will be to coordinate trainer and student engagement including client engagement and follow up to ensure that our operational and training delivery outcomes are achieved in line with the requirements of the VET Quality Framework and various State Government funding contracts. You will work closely with our trainers and business development officers to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency in our training delivery.

What you will do:

●      Liaise with trainers, employers and students in Queensland and NSW and other stakeholders that be contacted to support the broader BIT team.

●      Ensure obligations for compliance and reporting are met.

●      Support the team in gathering and maintaining evidence of trainer and assessor compliance, site visits and associated customer engagement information.

●      Assist with the preparation of submissions to and/or coordinated visits with the BD team to key stakeholders.

●      Assist in the preparation and presentation of reporting to management.

●      Conduct and analyse internal and external surveys.

●      Provide development support and advice to our trainers and assessors on workload management, documentation and general logistics support including service bookings etc.

●      Building and maintaining relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

●      Assist in trainer and student file preparation and maintain evidence as per record keeping requirements for an RTO.

●      Researching, analysing and reporting data to inform current and future emerging issues that may impact on trainer activities and business operations.

●      Assist trainers in managing their vehicles and scheduled servicing and/or administration days as required.

Key Selection Criteria

Role will suit an individual who:

●      Is self-motivated and flexible in delivering effective solutions to help manage operational issues including planning, identifying change/improvement opportunities.

●      High level of communication skills and professional phone manner.

●      Works effectively in a team environment and can willingly assist team members to resolve issues in a timely manner.

●      Has a strong work ethic and professional approach to working with internal and external stakeholders.

●      Has a high attention to detail

●      Has any prior logistics and/or booking/coordination experience

●      Excellent reporting and people skills

●      Previous RTO experience is preferable but not essential.

●      Blue Card

●      Clear national crime check report.

KPIs

Trainer, Employer and Student Satisfaction Surveys, Site visit Cancellations vs Site Visit Completed, Student and employer contacts per month and number of events organised/attended.

Location
